- Taught in Private Schools for 15 years
- Worked in Administration of Private Schools for 14 years
- Taught Biology, Bible, Literature, Tennessee History and more
- Helped found 2 Private Chrsitian Schools
- Been trained in the Classical Christian approach to education as well as the Principle approach
- Received a master’s degree in Learning and Teaching from Lipscomb University
- Received a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies from Corban College
- Studied Biology and Chemistry at Texas A&M University — Corpus Christi (Formerly Corpus Christi State University)
- led marriage enrichment courses with my husband for 10+ years
- Traveled to 13 countries on 5 continents, most recently taking teenagers to Uganda in 2008 & 2010 to work in an orphanage

- I love bugs — yes, love. I get excited over the fascinating way God makes things
- I got married at 19 in a small village in Guatemala
- I am an introvert, but I love having deep conversations with people
- I am not very good at small talk
